Zaatar Roasted Radishes Recipe

roasted turnips

Roasted radishes. Such an odd concept, right? You are probably thinking I lost it, like, what an odd thing to make. I thought so too the first time I saw them online, but figured since they are so healthy, why not give them a go. And lo and behold, roasting them completely changes the flavor!

Radishes can be crunchy, bitter & sharp when raw. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore them raw, and love them with breakfast and in salads especially. So, when I tossed them in the oven, I didn’t expect what came out. The texture was completely different. The radish was transformed. No longer crunchy, but more buttery. The bitterness gone, replaced with a soft sweetness. Honestly, it’s a completely new experience from something so simple, and prepared so simply. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!
